An introduction to cybersecurity regulation

10 lessons. The lesson is 45 min. The module is divided into 2 parts with time allowance 5 teaching hours for each part of the module. 

Module 1 focuses on explaining the issue of cybersecurity regulation, pointing out application problems. The subject of education will be topics such as regulatory tools of cybersecurity, principles of legal regulation of cybersecurity, theoretical and technical foundations of cybersecurity, impact of cybersecurity on human rights, regulation from the point of view of EU law and the legal order of the Slovak Republic. 

 Modul v sebe zahŕňa aj rôzne cvičenia, prípadové štúdie pre účastníkov, ktoré im pomôžu prepojiť teoretické poznatky s praktickými zručnosťami. Modul sa uskutoční prezenčne/v rámci virtuálnej miestnosti (MS TEAMS), kde bude zachovaný reálny čas interakcie a možnosť okamžitých otázok, diskusií a spolupráce medzi účastníkmi.  Vzdelávanie v rámci modulu bude rozdelené na 2 časti s časovou dotáciu 5 vyučovacích hodín pre každú časť modulu. 

Part 1 

• theoretical and technical foundations of cybersecurity,  

• the terms cyber and information security, 

• cybersecurity institutes, 

• základné bezpečnostné požiadavky – dôvernosť, integrita a dostupnosť,  

• basic principles of cybersecurity, 

• cybersecurity regulatory tools – legal norms, competition, consensus, communication and code. 

Part 2 

• principles of cybersecurity legislation,  

• kybernetická bezpečnosť ako prax a ako stav, 

• the impact of cybersecurity on human rights, 

• cybersecurity ethics.
