Jozef \u010cent\u00e9\u0161 a&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/michal-rampasek\/\">Michal Rampa\u0161ek<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The publication was created within&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/cusec-project\/\">CUSEC project<\/a>&nbsp;and addresses one of the current challenges at the intersection of cybersecurity, compliance and criminal law \u2013 the legal consequences of paying ransom after ransomware attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The authors analyze this issue from a Slovak and Czech perspective, focusing mainly on:<br>\ud83d\udd39 laundering proceeds from the ransom through cryptocurrencies and anonymization tools,<br>\ud83d\udd39 possible criminal law risks (money laundering, terrorist financing, violation of EU sanctions), and<br>\ud83d\udd39 decision-making framework from the point of view of compliance for organizations facing ransom payment requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">At a time when the number of ransomware attacks in Europe is constantly growing, this article offers up-to-date knowledge not only for experts in criminal law, but also for CISOs, compliance and risk managers who deal with real incidents in practice.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>V \u010dasopise \u010casopis pro pr\u00e1vn\u00ed v\u011bdu a praxi vy\u0161iel nov\u00fd \u010dl\u00e1nok s n\u00e1zvom \u201eRansomv\u00e9r a&nbsp;\u00fahrada v\u00fdkupn\u00e9ho v&nbsp;kontexte trestn\u00e9ho pr\u00e1va\u201c, ktor\u00e9ho autormi s\u00fa prof.
